Corona, CA: Automated Retailing Goes Hollywood

AVT, Inc., (OTC: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), announced that automated retailing has gone Hollywood with an exciting, new system located in the heart of tinsel-town. The machine is located at Sprinkles, the popular Beverly Hills-based cupcake bakery. In addition to freshly-baked cupcakes, the unit will also dispense mixes, apparel and even doggie treats, 24 hour a day, 7 days a week.

The Sprinkles machine is the latest example of how businesses are expanding their reach and selling products direct to consumers through automated systems.

Robbie Blinkoff, a consumer anthropologist and managing director of Context Based Research Group in Baltimore, understands the draw. He stated that anything that's moving toward automated retailing makes sense for consumers because it's convenient and interactive.

For entrepreneurs and brand owners, automated retailing offers a chance to access additional customers with their products and more cost effectively grow revenues.

Major retailers have embraced the trend as well, with stores such as Macy's, Walmart, JC Penney, and Best Buy all deploying automated retailing systems to build brand awareness, expand distribution, control inventory, lower costs, and increase revenues.

AVT is a leader in the design and manufacture of custom merchandising systems, innovative kiosks and automated retailing systems. The company is a licensed distributor to customize and sell units such as the Sprinkles Cupcake Dispenser.

This exciting system was recently featured on KTLA News and in the Los Angeles Times.
