Corona, CA: Officials identify man who died in fall from Cosmopolitan

Authorities said it was unclear what caused a 21-year-old man to fall to his death from a Cosmopolitan balcony on New Year’s Day.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Christopher Sergio Reveles, of Corona, Calif. His death was ruled an accident.

Metro Police spokesman Jay Rivera said officers received a call about 6:50 a.m. Sunday after a Cosmopolitan employee found Reveles' body on a tennis court.

Reveles was pronounced dead at the scene from trauma to the head and chest, the coroner said.

It appears Reveles fell from a room balcony on the fifth floor, where he was staying with family, Rivera said.

There’s no indication what time the accident occurred or what Reveles was doing before falling, but police said alcohol likely played a role.
