US Lighting Tech, the leader in induction lighting, was selected by the municipality of Corona, Calif. to deploy a new energy efficient street lighting solution throughout the city. Corona chose USLT, which is based in Irvine, Calif., as its street lighting partner because of USLT’s commitment to delivering products that outperform conventional, industrial grade lighting systems in terms of functionality, energy efficiency, maintenance and ease of installation.
Corona’s move to utilize USLT’s Cobra Series induction lighting for its municipality-wide public street lighting project is part of a broader initiative designed to bring greener, more cost-effective solutions to the city. By installing the energy efficient street lights, Corona can expect to significantly save in energy costs and maintenance costs over the lifetime of the installation – while also reducing toxic landfill waste from the more frequent re-lampings required by the existing technology.
“The City of Corona selected USLT based on the strength of our company’s performance history as the leader within the energy efficient lighting category,” said Richard Ham, president of USLT. “For municipal-sized projects and the support they need, experience matters.”
USLT is the first and only manufacturer in the world that has shipped more than 130,000 of its induction street lights and already has 110,000 street lights installed on real world streets and neighborhoods.
