Corona, CA: Saleen's SMS Adds 302 White Label and Yellow Label Mustangs

Steve Saleen's SMS Supercars expands its portfolio with the addition of its 302 White and Yellow Label Mustangs.

The SMS 302 White Label Mustang is priced from $35,540, while the 302 Yellow Label Mustang starts at $45,540.

An ultimate SMS 302 Black Label Mustang is planned, but is not yet priced.

Steve Saleen's SMS Supercars is expanding its muscle-car portfolio with the addition of the new 302 White and Yellow Label Mustangs, priced from $35,540 and $45,540, respectively. An ultimate SMS 302 Black Label Mustang is also planned, but is not yet priced.

SMS said the White, Yellow and Black Label Mustangs represent Steve Saleen's former racing colors. The 62-year-old Californian raced earlier in his career, including stints in Formula Atlantic, Trans-Am and SCCA World Challenge.

The basic 302 White Label Mustang features a 440-horsepower naturally aspirated V8, with performance suspension and exhaust, interior upgrades and an exterior aero kit. The midlevel 302 Yellow Label Mustang adds 19-inch SMS wheels and performance tires, plus a 545-hp supercharged engine.

The 302 Black Label Mustang packages the S4 suspension, leather interior, more aero exterior bits and a higher-output 575-hp engine.

Inside Line says: Saleen says SMS will launch its new 620 and 620X Camaros in summer 2012.
