Reminder: Splash Festival scheduled to drop May 10

A free, fun, family event at The Crossings at Corona

The Splash Festival will rain down on the western portion of Riverside County Saturday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crossings at Corona. This event, going into year three, is held with the spirit of being water-wise and going green during Water Awareness Month. This free, fun and educational event, hosted by a half dozen water agencies and other community organizations, offers hands-on water and environmental-related activities for kids and adults alike. The Corona Police Department will finger print children who complete a water-wise coloring picture.

Festival attendees will also have the chance to do a variety of water and energy conservation activities including: Make a Water Conservation Bracelet, Take a Toss in the Water-waster Windup, Spin the Energy Wheel, Face Painting With Water-wise Bug, Get Finger Printed and Learn About Water Safety. After successfully completing the activities, children will receive a wonderful water-wise surprise.

Children and adults alike will be delighted to learn about conservation and meet fun event characters – Drippy the Water Drop, Fancy Fin and Bulb Man.

The Splash Festival is sponsored by the Bureau of Reclamation, the City of Corona, the City of Norco, Community Energy Partnership, Corona Police Department, The Crossings at Corona, Home Gardens County Water District, Inland Empire Urban Forestry Council, Jurupa Community Services District, Lee Lake Water District, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Orange County Water District, Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District, Riverside County Flood Control & Water Conservation District, Santa Ana Watershed Association, Take It Outside and Western Municipal Water District.
