The Santiago High School Marching Band will lead the Santa Arrival Parade through The Shops at Dos Lagos at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 17. The public is invited to welcome Santa Claus as he arrives at the stage near the children’s play area and join him in the countdown to illuminate the 40-foot Christmas Tree. Sparkling holiday lights throughout the center will be simultaneously illuminated with the Christmas Tree to officially launch the center’s Celebrate the Holidays Close to Home…Make It Merry and Bright theme, which features family events, musical performances on the Dos Lagos Amphitheater stage and caroling.
The November 17 festivities begin at noon with a FREE holiday movie, The Polar Express, at Dos Lagos Stadium 15 Theatre. Families also may visit with Donner and Blitzen, two of “Santa’s live reindeer,” from noon – 4 p.m. near the children’s play area.
Holiday elves will hand out FREE Christmas tree necklaces before the Santa Parade begins at 5 p.m. Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, the family fun continues with Santa Photos until 8 p.m. “We want families to come early to see a holiday movie and stay to enjoy the full day of holiday activities,” said Giovanna Calambrogio, property manager for The Shops at Dos Lagos, located at Temescal Canyon Road between Weirick Road and Cajalco Road in Corona.
The Shops at Dos Lagos will continue to Celebrate the Holidays Close to Home all season long with a Black Friday Gift with Purchase on November 23; Breakfasts with Santa on December 1, 8, 15, and 22; Ladies Day Out on December 1; 50 Tons of Snow Play on December 15; Photos with Santa and Holiday caroling performances daily.
