Corona, CA: AVT Awarded Best System Design

AVT, Inc. is pleased to announce that they recently were awarded the Best System Design from Self Service News Magazine (www.SelfServiceNewsMagazine.com).

This annual contest evaluates the design, creativity, functionality and innovation of vending machines, self-service kiosks and automated retailing systems from all over the world.

This year, the judges awarded the top honors to AVT for their innovative recycling and redemption system built for Mountain Dew Soda, a division of PepsiCo.

The system was designed to reward customers for recycling. The unit senses when a customer places an empty soda bottle into the machine, and then gives them a t-shirt made from 50% recycled plastic bottles and 50% organic cotton.

The Mountain Dew Automated Redemption System was developed for use at promotional events. The machine is customizable for specific locations and brand partnerships.

For its innovative design, "green" sensitivities, unique sensing and vending applications, and overall quality, the system was awarded the Grand Prize.

The system was designed and built by AVT of Corona, California.

"We are proud to have our work acknowledged with this award," Shannon Illingworth, Founder of AVT stated. "We enjoy creating custom systems that change the industry and elevate the playing field."

AVT is one of only a few companies that can create a customized self-service kiosk or vending solution, by incorporating in-house mechanical and electrical engineering, software design, metal fabrication, plus art and graphics departments.
