Riverside, CA: T. Mills Debuts 'Vans On' Video

T. Mills (born Travis Mills) made a splash last year with his sneakers-and-sex ode "Vans On,” and this week the 22-year-old rapper from Riverside, California finally rolled out accompanying visuals to the track. Early in 2011, Mills signed to Columbia Records, releasing his Leaving Home LP, and this year he's gearing up to drop his debut studio album.

When he was 17, the young rapper began recording songs on his MacBook, and by 18, he was posting his music on MySpace. In 2009, Mills performed 60 shows as part of the Vans Warped Tour, where a dance tent was his stage. He went on to sign with independent label Uprising Records, the home of his 2010 album Ready, Fire, Aim! Although he's still a relative unknown, his video for "Stupid Boy" has clocked 1.8 million views on YouTube.

Mills cites Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was one of his earliest influences, telling MTV News’ Mixtape Daily, "The fact that they could sing and rap at the same time, integrate melody and stuff into their songs, I was blown away,"
