Corona, CA: Metal Mulisha Named Official Casual Sponsor for Valli-Star Rockstar Yamaha Team

Leading Supercross and Motocross team will feature Mulisha branding at events throughout 2012

Metal Mulisha will revisit its roots in Supercross and Motocross with an agreement to become the official casual sponsor for the Valli-Star Supercross/Motocross team.

As part of the agreement, the team will be seen with the Metal Mulisha logo on their helmets, jerseys and bikes. Led by top riders such as Ryan Sipes, Kyle Cunningham, Austin Stroupe, Gareth Swanepohl, Nico Izzi, Ryan Morris and Kyle Peters, the team will be competing at all 2012 events on the AMA Supercross and Motocross tours.

Led by "The General" Brian Deegan, Mulisha recently held the team introduction at the Yamaha test track located in Corona, CA.

"I'm pumped about getting back into Supercross and Moto racing with the Valli-Star team," said Metal Mulisha's Brian Deegan. "We're joining forces with a great team that knows how to win, so it will be cool to see them wearing Mulisha on the podium next year."

Mulisha has a strong background in both Motocross and Supercross, with founder Brian Deegan starting his career in Supercross at the age of 17, before helping to usher in Freestyle Motocross during the late 1990s. At the LA Coliseum In 1997, Deegan famously won the Supercross Lites race and in true rebel style, ghost rode his bike across the finish line. Many other Mulisha riders, such as Ronnie Faisst and Cam Sinclair, began racing in Supercross early in their careers. Earlier this year, Mulisha expanded into the amateur ranks of Supercross and Motocross with the signing of young rider, Andrew Pierce, who debuted with Mulisha by winning four championships at the Mini Olympics.

The AMA Supercross season will kick off January 7th from Anaheim, CA, while the AMA Motocross season begins in May. For more information, visit http://www.supercrossonline.com and http://www.allisports.com/motocross.

About Metal Mulisha

Known for winning gold medals, breaking world records, and turning industry tradition upside down through the sport of freestyle motocross, pro riders Brian Deegan and Larry Linkogle launched Metal Mulisha Clothing in 1999. What began as a group of friends riding dirt bikes in Metal Mulisha gear and competing to see who could do the best tricks has grown into one of the most recognized and respected brands in action sports. Metal Mulisha's winning form in freestyle competitions like the X Games has helped spread the brand's take-no-prisoners style and attitude to a growing audience around the world.

Metal Mulisha speaks the language of nonconformity with distinctive graphic tees, jerseys, boardshorts, fleece, tanks, denim and accessories. A regular name at events including the Red Bull X Fighters, Rock Star Mayhem Tour, and the Dew Tour, the Mulisha team boasts an A-list roster of well-known riders, including founder Brian Deegan, innovator of the "Mulisha Twist;" and highly decorated freestyle riders, Ronnie Faisst, Todd Potter, Taka Higashino, Ryan Hagy and the late Jeremy Lusk. Metal Mulisha has also made its mark outside FMX, forming partnerships with MMA fighters Renato " Babalu" Sobral, Jason MacDonald and Dan Henderson, as well as metal band Machine Head. The Mulisha lifestyle has steadily grown since '99, expanding into various product collaborations with major brands like Rock Star Energy and Etnies. Metal Mulisha can be found at over 2000 retailers worldwide. metalmulisha.com
