AssetWorks, a leading provider of fleet management software and automated fuel management systems, announced today that it has signed a contract with the City of Corona, California, to deploy its fleet management software application.
Looking to replace their existing fleet management software, the City of Corona sought a solution that would provide the following functionality and features:
Comprehensive fleet management reports, including the ability to manage by exception
Ability to track shop and technician productivity
Develop fully burdened costing
Better control of inventory
Improved preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling
Fully developed audit capability on all accounting functions
Customer/Management dashboards
“We were impressed with the functionality of FleetFocus. Today’s financial environment demands that municipal Fleet operations ensure their competitiveness. The ability to accurately compartmentalize services and track fully burdened costs is absolutely crucial. Good data management and concise, comprehensive reporting allow an organization to quickly identify patterns and correct deficiencies, as they occur. This ability to manage by exception, will enhance our operational efficiency,” states Steve Szueber, Fleet Services Supervisor. “Knowing AssetWorks has an excellent reputation for developing and supporting software for municipal fleets, gives us the confidence that they will stand behind their products. We are pleased to be deploying their software product and excited about the enhanced capabilities their product offers.”
FleetFocus is a comprehensive fleet management solution that can help Corona reduce maintenance expenditures and inventory expenses, while simultaneously improving productivity, efficiency, and asset utilization. FleetFocus tracks all functions related to the maintenance of equipment, including processing repair and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders; tracking operating expenses (e.g., fuel, oil, and licensing); and tracking and billing for equipment usage.
In addition, FleetFocus’ Enterprise Purchasing functionality can help track the workflow and data points that are involved in the purchase of inventory and capital assets. Better accountability of these tasks can bring both a time and cost savings to fleets. The City of Corona intends to use this functionality not only for their Fleet parts inventory, but also to incorporate its use in the City Stores warehouse operation.
“We are proud of our history serving city and county fleets and we are excited to add the City of Corona to this growing list of county customers. We have a very strong customer base in California and we look forward to partnering with Corona for this deployment,” stated Jim Schnepp, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, AssetWorks.
