THE 2ND ANNUAL ART SHOW WILL RAISE MONEY AND AWARENESS FOR THE PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION OF THE WORLD’S OCEANS.

SEA NO EVIL, SAVE THE WHALES

On Saturday, July 12, 2008 the SEA NO EVIL ART BENEFIT will take over the Riverside Art Museum located in the Historic Downtown District of Riverside California. Sea No Evil is an art benefit to preserve and protect the oceans of the world. The proceeds raised will be donated to The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, which is committed to the eradication of pirate whaling, poaching, shark fining, unlawful habitat destruction, and violations of established laws in the world’s oceans.

Captain Paul Watson, founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society will speak about the importance of his life’s work. Renowned artist Shepard Fairey will DJ in the art gallery and acclaimed singer songwriter Matt Costa will perform on the roof of the museum. Free drinks will be provided to guests compliments of Sambazon, VeeV, and Imperial Beer.

“We are committed to continually raising awareness for the preservation of our oceans,” says co-producer Erin Swinfard. “I’m blown away by the enthusiasm and support from the artists who have donated their art and time.”

The museum will host a two-week preview prior to the benefit, and donated art will be available for purchase through silent auction bidding on Saturday, July 12.

Sea No Evil came about when Riverside residents Derric and Erin Swinfard decided to take up a cause and use their networking for the good of the world’s oceans. They rounded up friends, artists, and business owners to create an art benefit that raised more than $30,000. For its second installment, Sea No Evil has grown to include musical performances and another impressive list of artists.
