A joint venture of the Garrett Group of Temecula, CA and locally based Domenigoni-Barton Properties plans to develop a 1.3-million-sf mixed-use, urban Main Street center called the Triangle at the intersection of interstates 15 and 215 in Southwestern Riverside County. The developers describe the project as an outdoor retail, dining, office and entertainment complex that they expect to break ground for this year and open in 2010.
Plans for the new development include a multi-screen movie theater, 450,000 sf of class A office buildings in two multi-story towers and a 280-room full-service hotel. The retail offerings will range from small boutiques to high-fashion retailers, novelty, entertainment and home furnishings stores. Restaurants will range from casual fare to fine dining.
The JV has named principal Keith Pittsford of SGPA Architecture and Planning as retail architect for the project, with Brian Paul, president of BPA Architecture Planning Interiors, as the office architect. Jones Lang LaSalle will handle retail leasing and CB Richard Ellis has the assignment for office leasing.
Steve King, chief operating officer of the Garrett Group, notes that development has long been anticipated at the site, known locally as the Golden Triangle. Pittsford points out that the project will be environmentally friendly and will incorporate sustainable design features.
