Inland Empire Beer Theft Caught On Tape...must have been good beer!

Joseph Sarkis, who owns Mountain View, said a couple in their 20s walked into this store, loitered for a bit and then grabbed three cases of beer and bolted for the front door.

Sarkis said he chased the pair out of the store and was able to get his hand on one of the thieves before they escaped.

He said that he was inches from being struck by their vehicle as they fled the scene.

Security cameras have recorded at least a dozen high-desert robberies like this during the past few months, Parks reported.

Storeowners have been sharing information with one another and police said they hoping to put an end to the violence.
