The Inland Empire 66ers Dance Team is known throughout the community for lending a helping hand at charitable events as well as being one of the center points at 66ers baseball games. Due to the excessive demand for the Dance Team to appear at events in the Inland Empire, Dance Team Coordinator Stephanie Griffis announces the team will expand in '08. They will be looking for athletic, young, enthusiastic girls that have a strong work ethic and that are extremely committed to join their squad during the up coming year.
The 66ers Dance Team will hold tryouts at Arrowhead Credit Union Park on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. All candidates must be 18 as of 1/12/08 and have a high school diploma or GED. This is a one-year obligation. It is mandatory to attend all practices, appearances, games and community events. The team may have late night and/or early morning practices, so a flexible schedule is necessary. Reliable transportation is a must. Candidates should possess excellent speaking skills and personality. Provide a current dance and/or professional resume, as well as a non-returnable 4X6 or larger current headshot.
For the audition, which is closed to the public, please wear proper attire. For the audition your wardrobe should consist of, a half-top (midriff must be showing), hot pants/dance shorts (no full length pants/capris), dance sneakers/tennis shoes (non-marking) and performers must have make-up and hair complete upon arrival (hair is to be down).
