According to Corona police, the plane crashed at 6:18 p.m. in a field at Lincoln Avenue and Harrington Street, east of a runway for Corona Municipal Airport. Two people on board managed to escape with unknown injuries.
KFI AM640’s longtime traffic reporter, Mike Nolan, was involved in a plane accident just east of the Corona Municipal Airport. Current reports state that both Mike and his passenger escaped with non life-threatening injuries. It appears engine malfunction was the primary cause.
It was not immediately known what caused the crash.
