Riverside, CA: California college student's body found

The body of a California college student missing for a week was found Sunday floating in Newport Bay, authorities said.

A passerby spotted the body of Alan Song-Long Lin, a 22-year-old mechanical engineering student at the University of California, Riverside, who was last seen alive Feb. 5, KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, reported.

There was no sign of foul play and the initial indications were he died of natural causes though an investigation was ongoing, Newport Beach police said.

Lin had disappeared after leaving Rudy's Pub and Grill in Newport Beach. His family had reported him missing after he failed to show up for work or classes the following Monday.
