STATE ROUTE 91 CLOSES AT TWO INTERCHANGES IN RIVERSIDE COUNTY

RIVERSIDE- Caltrans, in cooperation with the City of Riverside, is advising motorists to choose alternate routes and avoid the SR-91 this coming Friday and Saturday nights, September 12th and 13th.

The City of Riverside is conducting full directional closures on SR-91 at the La Sierra Avenue Interchange Project and Caltrans is conducting full directional closures of SR-91 at the Green River Road Interchange Project. The City and Caltrans coordinated the closures to occur the same weekend to limit the impact on traffic. The City of Riverside continues improvements to the La Sierra Avenue Interchange; however, this is the last full directional freeway closure for the Green River Road Interchange Project.

Drivers are advised to use SR-60 and I-10 as alternate east / west routes between Southern California Counties. Southern County drivers may use SR-74 (Ortega Highway) between Riverside and Orange Counties. Visit Caltrans8.info and click on “News and Documents” for more information on these two projects.
