City of Corona to host first-time home buyer seminar

The seminar will offer attendees important home buying information as well as information on the city’s Home Owner Assistance Program (HOAP Now)

CORONA, CA: The city of Corona in partnership with the Fair Housing Council of Riverside County will present a first-time home buyer seminar on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a .m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Corona City Hall multi-purpose room located at 400 S. Vicentia Avenue in Corona .

The seminar will educate attendees on the buying process and down payment and closing cost assistance programs including Home Owner Assistance Program (HOAP Now). Attendees who qualify will also be considered for the HOAP Now, which can provide up to $75,000 in assistance.

Topics including credit repair; credit counseling; dealing with realtors, escrow and title companies; financial planning and the responsibilities of home ownership will also be covered.
