The Vasquez Family, owners of the popular Mexican restaurants Miguel’s and Miguel’s Jr., recognized today the work of the Corona Public Library with a donation of $30,000. The donation will be applied to the heavily utilized Teens on Main Technology Center to cover advanced technology upgrades and enhancements to expand the Center’s usage.

“The Vasquez Family are gracious and generous supporters of the community” said Corona Mayor Eugene Montanez. “Their donation helped to build the extremely popular Citrus Splash Zone at Citrus Park and this donation will benefit the Corona Library and young adults in our City for years to come.”

“My parents, Mike and Mary Vasquez, who founded Miguel’s Restaurants, recognize the importance of being part of the fabric of our communities. We are grateful to be able to support the library which provides so many valuable programs and services to our community,” said Javier Vasquez, CEO of Miguel’s and Miguel’s Jr. Restaurants.

The Corona Public Library is located at 650 S. Main Street and unveiled the new “Teens on Main” section in July 2011. The area provides youth in grades 6-12 a dedicated space in the Library with access to computers, software such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver as well as age-appropriate reading material. The donation will benefit the youth in the community.
