Corona, CA: Dos Lagos 'The Help' screening and discussion

In the history of film has there ever been a movie that was better than the book it was based on?

Just try to think about that for a minute.

With the release of the new film "The Help" on Aug. 10, that question will once again come in focus.

Based on the book of the same name, the film follows a young writer who decides to tell the stories of African American maids working for rich white families in the South.

And the film has a great cast including Emma Stone, Bryce Dallas Howard, Mary Steenburgen, Viola Davis, Sissy Spacek, Allison Janney and Cicely Tyson.

On Saturday Aug. 13, the Dos Lagos Stadium 15 theater in Corona will be hosting a special discussion and reception following the 7 p.m. screening of the film.

The event (not the movie) is free, but you must contact the theater directly to RSVP for it.

The reception will be held at the Citrus City Grille near the theater.

Space is limited, so those interested should call 603-0654. For more information check out www.phoenixtheatres.com/locdoslagos.asp
